Answers to the questions we hear most

Answers to the questions we hear most

Cost, timelines, hardware, support — the answers to almost every question we get from project teams considering EV charging.

General

What does Climatech actually do?

We are a full-stack EV charging provider. We sell hardware, install it, build the supporting civil and electrical infrastructure, run the cloud platform that manages it (CPMS), and operate the chargers as a CPO. Most clients work with us for one or two of these layers; some use all of them.

Do you serve all regions of the Kingdom?

Yes. We are headquartered in Riyadh and dispatch teams nationwide, with active project deployments in NEOM, Makkah, Madinah, Jeddah, Dammam, and across the Eastern, Central, and Western regions.

Are you Saudi-owned?

Yes. Climatech is 100% Saudi-owned and Saudi-operated. Our entire engineering and field staff are based in the Kingdom.

Pricing

How much does it cost to install an EV charger in Saudi Arabia?

Home AC charger installation starts at SAR 4,000, including both charger and installation. DC fast chargers for commercial projects start at SAR 45,000. Final cost depends on charger type, capacity, and the condition of existing electrical infrastructure.

Is the survey free?

Yes. Initial consultation and the first site survey are always free. We provide a written quotation within 3-5 business days of the survey.

Are there ongoing software fees?

If you use our CPMS, there is a monthly per-charger fee covering monitoring, billing, customer support, and software updates. Pricing scales with network size; contact us for a quote based on your fleet.

Technical

What types of chargers do you provide?

We provide AC chargers from 7 kW to 22 kW for residential and commercial use, and DC fast chargers from 30 kW to 400 kW for commercial and public deployments.

Which brands do you supply?

We are authorized partners for Wallbox, EVBox, Schneider, ABB, Alpitronic, and Alfanar. We can also source other SASO-certified hardware on request.

Is your platform OCPP compliant?

Yes. Our CPMS is fully compliant with OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1, ensuring interoperability with virtually any charger hardware on the market.

Can you handle SEC approvals on our behalf?

Yes. Our team handles the full electrical permitting and approval process with the Saudi Electricity Company on your behalf.

Service & Support

How long does EV charger installation take?

Home charger installation typically takes 2-4 hours. Commercial projects range from 1 to 4 weeks depending on project size, civil works required, and SEC approval timelines.

Do you provide maintenance services after installation?

Yes. We offer comprehensive maintenance contracts covering preventive and corrective maintenance, with 24/7 technical support and certified spare parts.

What warranty do you offer?

All hardware comes with the manufacturer's warranty (typically 2-3 years). Installation work is warranted by us for 12 months. Extended warranties are available.

What is your response time for failures?

Standard SLA is 48 hours on-site response in major cities. We offer 4-hour and 24-hour response upgrades for clients with critical uptime requirements.
