Which charger fits BYD?
AC charging limits differ between the BYD models sold in Saudi Arabia:
- Base BYD Atto 3 charges at up to 7.2 kW AC, 32A at 240V
- Newer BYD Atto 3 Evo charges at up to 11 kW AC
- BYD Seal charges at up to 11.5 kW AC, 48A
- BYD Han charges at up to 11 kW AC
For most current BYD models in the Saudi market, a 7 to 11 kW AC charger is the right size. A 22 kW charger is more than you need, because no current BYD model can draw more than 11.5 kW.

Connector standards
BYD models in Saudi Arabia use the Type 2 connector, the international standard under IEC 62196-2. Any AC home charger with this connector works without an adapter.
Electrical requirements in Jeddah villas
Jeddah is the Kingdom's economic capital and largest port city. Housing is a mix of towers and villas, and three-phase supply is widely available in newer districts such as Ash-Shati, Al Muhammadiyah and Ar Rawdah.
