Teslas sold in the Middle East use the Type 2 connector, the European standard IEC 62196-2. In practice:
- A Type 2 home charger plugs straight in, with no adapter
- The Tesla Wall Connector sold in the region has a Type 2 plug
- Tesla Supercharger sites in Saudi Arabia use CCS2, the DC fast-charging connector

Electrical supply varies a lot between Riyadh homes:
